What we collect
- Account information: name, email address, organization affiliation, and role.
- Authentication data: identity provider identifiers, session tokens, and MFA context provided by the identity provider.
- Usage logs: API calls, feature usage, timestamps, source IP, and user agent for security and service operation.
- Support communications: messages submitted through support channels.
- Billing information: billing contact details and tokenized payment method references from the payment processor.
- Customer-submitted content: data that customers send to the platform, which Backbuild processes on their behalf.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the service under the contract with the customer.
- To protect the platform from abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
- To improve the service, using aggregated and privacy-preserving analysis where possible.
- To respond to customer support requests.
How we use it
Personal data is used only for the purposes listed above and consistent with the customer's instructions. Backbuild does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sharing
Personal data is shared only with sub-processors engaged to deliver the service on Backbuild's behalf, and with third parties where disclosure is required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Backbuild, its customers, or others. The current sub-processor list is maintained at sub-processors.
Retention
Retention periods are documented at retention and deletion. Data is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to legal retention requirements.
